Half a dozen of the house portraits in this exhibition are of houses that are members of London Shh – a collection of the city’s best hidden gems: small historic houses and museums which tell the stories of fascinating and famous former residents, and showcase wonderful architecture. There are currently fourteen houses in the group, all over London, and as this exhibition is now a work in progress, due to the postponement, I’m aiming to show the full collection of portraits in The Prospect of Happiness when it opens in Burgh House next spring, April 2021 – and I’ll be adding each extra portrait to this preview as it’s ready.
